Used Ampere cards are suspiciously cheap and my 4060 is out of road

My 4060 just isn't cutting it in the heavier stuff. I want MORE fps, not more resolution. Been watching used listings and the Ampere cards are going shockingly cheap right now, like suspiciously cheap. Is grabbing a used 3080 or 3090 a smart play here, or am i walking into a trap?
