PG34QRT3A: my initial thoughts

ok so i've been messing with the ASRock Phantom Gaming PG34QRT3A for a hot minute and wow, what a step up. i was previously rocking a ViewSonic VX2728J, which is great for what it is, but the PG34QRT3A's extra screen real estate is a total game changer. i was upgrading mainly for the resolution and the productivity boost of an ultrawide, and the VA panel really pops. the curve is more aggressive than i thought it'd be, 1500R is intense. having used my fair share of different refresh rates, i was worried 180hz wouldn't be enough of an upgrade. but paired with the resolution bump, it's a fantastic visual experience and a noticeable jump over my older monitor. i do wish the built-in speakers were a little better, but i'm not complaining too much i guess. anyone else compared it to something like the [Odyssey G60SD by Samsung](/monitors/samsung/odyssey-g60sd)?
